SCOTTISH TOYDOG SOCIETY

OPEN SHOW – 22^ND MARCH 2015

My thanks to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this well run show, also for the generous Scottish hospitality extended to me. I would like to thank my steward for her help. Thanks must also go to the exhibitors for allowing me to go over such high quality dogs, all immaculately presented. This all added to the enjoyment of my day.

PUPPY: 5 {1a}

1^st Gibb-Stuart’s TANGLEDWOOD CHASE THE ACE

9 Month old Ruby dog, Almost flat skull between his ears, large dark eyes giving him a lovely expression. Moderate length of neck with good shoulder placement, short coupled body with good spring of rib. Moved well. Won this quality puppy class on maturity.

2^nd Gaskell’s JEILOHN PICKLES

6 Month old Tri dog, He showed so well for a baby, his large dark eyes and good pigmentation together with his rich tan markings gives him his gentle expression. Good reach of neck together with shoulders well laid back, short coupled body keeping his top line level.  Moved well front and rear. Very promising puppy.

1^st Ballantine’s MIDDLESHOT KING OF HEARTS

13 Month old Blenheim dog, pleasing head with large dark eyes and well cushioned muzzle gives him a melting expression. Moderate length of neck, well laid shoulders with good spring of rib.  Moved with drive keeping his level top line. Good good tail set.  Well presented.

2^nd Fraser’s TINGEWOOD TAM’O’SHANTER

12 Month old Ruby dog, nice head and ear set. Short coupled body with good spring of rib.  Moderate bone, level top line. Moved well round the ring.

3^rd Blair’s BELLFLOWS GENTLE LITTLE MAN

1^st Ballie’s PEAKDOWNS SKYFALL AT CAVALLINO

Blenheim dog, lovely head, ears set high with plenty of feathers and large dark eye giving gentle expression. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, good spring of rib.  Level top line, elegant in action and moved with drive. At one with his handler.  Shown in lovely coat and condition.

2^nd White’s LYNCRAEG LEADING LIGHT AT CARLENY

Blenheim bitch, feminine head, large dark eyes and scissor bite. Well broken markings and nicely balanced. When she settled down moved well and kept a level top line.

3^rd Baillie’s FYRNROSE HELLO DOLLY

Blenheim dog, masculine head, large dark eyes, well cushioned muzzle giving a lovely gentle expression, neck of moderate length and slightly arched leading to well laid back shoulders.  Body short coupled with good spring of rib, good rear angulation. Moves with drive keeping a level top line both moving and standing.  Rich chestnut gleaming coat presented in lovely condition. B.O.B  and later short listed for B.I.S.

2^nd Fraser,s COSTARA RUADH AT LYNCRAEG

Ruby dog, lovely head with large dark eyes giving nice expression. Good reach of neck with level top line and good tail set. Moved with drive. Nicely balanced dog who was well presented.

3^rd Drennan’s KINVAAR THEODORA OF CALATEN

1^st Baillie’s PEAKDOWNS RYAN AT CAVALLINO

Blenheim dog, beautiful markings, almost flat skull ears long and high set. Large dark eyes, cushioned muzzle giving a gentle expression. Body short coupled, good spring of rib and level back.  Elegant in action with plenty of drive from behind keeping a level top line.

2^nd Baillie’s SELKIES HEAVENLY PRINCE AT FYRNROSE

Blenheim dog, large dark eyes, good pigmentation, cushioned muzzle giving soft expression. Good reach of neck, well balanced short coupled body keeping a level top line moved well.

3^rd White’s ROTHES HAZEL AT CARLENY

Proposal for changes to  Scottish Toy Dog Constitution:

 Proposed By Mrs E Smith,   Seconded by Mrs R Macrae

Item   2. OBJECTS from a) To promote and encourage the improvement and well being of dogs and responsible dog ownership.

b} To encourage the exhibiting of all Toy Dogs by holding shows under the Kennel Club Rules and Regulations as may from time to time be decided'.

c} To do all such things as are or seem to the Society to be in any way incidental or conducive to the objects heretofore named.

To a} To promote the responsible ownership and breeding of sound typical and healthy toy dogs of good temperament.

b} To hold and encourage the holding of dog shows under Kennel Club Rules.

Item4. MEMBERSHIP  from The Society must send THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS (a list of members and their address and those of branch members where appropriate) to The Kennel Club with their Annual Returns and, if so requested make an up to date list of members available for inspection by The Kennel Club and members of the Society

To

The Society must maintain an up to date list of members and their addresses, and those of branch members where appropriate, and, if so requested, make the list available for inspection by the Kennel Club and members of the Society.  A declaration of the number of members of the Society must be made with the Annual Returns. As per KC rules 2014

Item 5. EXPULSION OF MEMBERS: from Any member who shall be suspended under Kennel Club Rules A42j(4) and/or any member whose doges) is/are qualified under Kennel Club Rule A42j(8) shalt ipso facto cease to be a Member of the Society for the duration of the suspention and/or disqualification.

Any member who shall be disqualified under Kennel Club Rule A11.j.(5) and/or Kennel Club Rule A11.j.(9) shall ipso facto cease to be a Member of the Society. As per KC Rules 2014

Item 6. OFFICERS: from Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer shall be co-joined.

The Office of Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer may be co-joined.

Item 8. COMMITTEE from Seven members present (including 2 of the Officers) shall constitute a quorum and the Chairman shall, in the event of an equality of votes, have a casting vote.

To Five members present (including 2 of the Officers) shall constitute a quorum and the Chairman shall, in the event of an equality of votes, have a casting vote. 

Item11. CLUB ACCOUNTS add

A copy of the annual Statement of Accounts for the last financial year which must be certified in accordance with the Rules of the Society, a copy of the annual statement of accounts are available on request to members 14 days prior to the AGM.  Additionally, the annual statement of accounts will be available for inspection by members at the Annual General Meeting. In accordance with KC rules 2014

Item 12.  AUDITORS add

Those undertaking the certification must be independent from those who prepared the accounts.

1^st Reekie's Powerforce Hogmanay – Black & white, nice outline.  Happy dog, moved well round the ring, nice expression with large ear, showed well.

Papillon Post Graduate Dog

1st Smith's Papplewick Penhaligon At Adinaken – White & red, what a joy to see such a well balanced little dog with everything in the right place.  Used his large ears to advantage, striking outline, lovely, flowing coat, correct scissor bite and showed his socks off. Best Dog

1^st Fraser & Graham's Omegaville Carbon Copy At Bonmeshay – Just a puppy, looks like she will have a bright future.  Furnishings coming in nicely, nicely shaped head with large flaring ears correctly set.  Tail held well on the move, went well round the ring.

1^st Frame's Queshian Norty Naked Angel At Elfallons – One I like with excellent furnishings, level topline, melting dark, almond shape, eyes, gorgeous head with large and erect ears to match.  Plenty of drive as she moved round the ring, gracefully with ease. BOB
